Overview
Currently the audit trail is 1 email message for each major action (i.e. each email announcement, signup-related change, and registration-related change) your group does. In the future:
- There will be an admin page for displaying these and all the other actions (e.g. login-related, report-reported) your group has done over the past 10 days.
- There will be an observer/agent page for displaying signup-related changes. (This replaces the send-to-event-staff feature of Setup Auto-Messages).
- Every night, your webmaster will be emailed a message containing that day's major actions. Similarly, if you specified a Db Changes Email Address, your group's registration-related changes will be emailed to that person.
Additionally email-less recipients of an announcement will be handled differently. An email announcement audit entry will always contain: the un-personalized copy of the message, plus a list of its recipients. If any are email-less, the Email Announcement result page will provide a printable page containing the personalized message of each such recipient.
The Admin Audit Trail page
When you visit this page, it
displays each major action of the current day that you have not seen yet.
Moving your mouse over its Refresh button will display a count of the major actions that have occurred since you arrived on the page. If the count is greater than 0, click this button to display them.
You can also selectively display full audit entries or 1-line summaries from the past 10 days by clicking on this page's Search button.
A search can be for a date/time period, text within an entry, and/or
all actions or a specific kind (e.g. signup-related, report-related).
You can also exclude things (e.g. don't display info-displaying actions).
The Observer/Agent Audit Trail page
This page displays each signup-related action of the current day that you have not seen yet. Similarly its Refresh button is just for signup-related actions that have occurred since the last rendering of the page.
