You will be logged in as an administrator*. Because of this, you will be directed to Admin Home. (When a regular user* logs in, she is directed to your group's Self-Signup Home).
Only administrators can access the full website. In particular, only they can use the pages that enable one to configure a group, create events, and design signup pages.
The Example group uses the no-password policy, so only an email address is required to login. For your own group, you can choose amongst 4 password policies — ranging from no-passwords to admin-quality passwords for everyone.
*The people who manage a PRESTO group are called administrators. They and the other people of a group are called its users.
