Non-Admin Privileged Users

When a person with Observer or Agent privilege logs in, her personalized view includes the buttons and dropdown menu at the top of this page. A person with Observer privilege can view all signups, output reports, email messages, and search the people database. A person with Agent privilege can also signup people by name, like an administrator.

You are seeing the Observer view now because the tour set the Enabled Privileges dropdown menu (under the What's Going On table) to Observer. As implied earlier, the main purpose of this menu is to make it easy for administrators to check out what regular users actually see. For example, if you set it to Self Only, your Self-Signup page would no longer contain the List All Signups link or the zoom column and its checkboxes.

Actually by default that is not quite true. Because it is useful to check out what users will see right before an event is published, the List dropdown menu is initially set to all active events. To see only the events that a regular users sees, set it to Published Events.
