A person becomes a member of a group by being registered. You can register people individually yourself by clicking on a Register link, or while doing a signup. If you allow it, people can also register themselves from Self-Signup Home. Also as the next slide describes, you can do bulk registrations via Import People.
Although you do not need to supply an email address when you register a person, doing so allows you to take full advantage of PRESTO's email automation features. (It also means the person will be able to login — if you choose to announce the web address of Self-Signup Home to your people).
